Employability Centre

In line with our desire to prepare our pupils for life as responsible, well-rounded adults, the Archer Academy will have a dedicated Employability Centre. Here, pupils will be given the opportunity to develop the transferable skills that they will need to move from secondary or higher education into working life.

The centre will provide a forum for our pupils to consider potential career paths, weigh up the relevance of potential subject choices, set themselves career-building objectives and develop core workplace skills. This process will begin in their very first year in the school, and continue right through to Year 10, culminating in a formal work-based placement.

We will be working in partnership with local businesses, charities and organisations to facilitate this process. More details will be available later in the year.
